Oakhurst Neighborhood Website goes live

The Oakhurst Neighborhood Association is pleased to announce our new Oakhurst Neighborhood Website (ONW) has gone live as of 07-25-2003. You can find the new site at www.oakhurstga.org as well as the old www.oakhurst-online.org. Please visit the new site and bookmark it for return visits.

The site was designed and built entirely by Oakhurst residents under the sponsorship of the Oakhurst Neighborhood Association. The ONW presents a rich portal like environment bringing Oakhurst community content to the world. However, content is limited to Oakhurst specific as well as select elements with strong South Decatur ties. ONW will not significantly duplicate information available via other sources to ensure the site remains highly relevant to Oakhurst residents.

It is the mission of the ONW to:

	Bring residents together through communication, information, exchange of ideas and diversity in an online forum
	Attract new residents, businesses, and investment through promotion of the Oakhurst community in an online forum

	In Focus – section of the site dedicated to in depth articles covering Oakhurst life and community. This section will grow significantly in the coming months.

Oakhurst Leaflet – all back issues of the famous Oakhurst Leaflet as well as contact information

Oakhurst Business Directory – listing of Oakhurst based businesses including website, e-mail, phone number, and address. We welcome all Oakhurst based business so please add your listing today!

Oakhurst Resident Directory (secured access) – listing of Oakhurst residents restricted to Oakhurst residents

	News & Alerts – continuous news about Oakhurst and events of interest to Oakhurst residents. Find out what’s going on in Oakhurst and with the Oakhurst Neighborhood Association

	Oakhurst Yard Spotlight (bi-monthly or seasonal) featuring yards, gardens, and displays uplifting the community
	Oakhurst Seasonal Spotlight (seasonal such as Halloween, Christmas, etc.) featuring seasonal displays of ambition that deserve recognition
	Continuing technical enhancements designed to streamline the use of the site or make it more functional
